From June 29 to July 3, 2026, Ulugbek Aminjonov participated in the 2026 LIS Summer Introductory Workshop on "Comparative Inequality Measurement using the LIS & LWS Databases" held at the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg. The workshop introduced participants to comparative research on income and wealth distribution using the harmonised Luxembourg Income Study (LIS) and Luxembourg Wealth Study (LWS) databases.
Over the course of the week, participants also developed individual projects using LIS/LWS data and presented their initial findings. Ulugbek Aminjonov's project examined the extent to which intra-household inequalities in income contribute to overall income inequality in EU countries, and how labor market policies may interact with this dynamic.
We thank the organizers at LIS, the University of Luxembourg, and LISER for a well-structured and informative workshop.
