Dr. Lieke Voorintholt joined the economic team of the IAAEU in March 2026. After completing her PhD in economics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, she moved to Trier to focus on her research at the intersection of labor and behavioral economics. She aims to use applied microeconometric methods to identify causal effects, for instance related to changes in labor law. In her dissertation, Lieke focused on prosocial behavior and preferences, such as donating, volunteering, and climate change concerns.
The staff at the IAAEU extend a warm welcome to their new colleague and look forward to working with her.
