An article by Jana Hagenmüller and Dominik Leist on the topic of "Leave entitlements under the influence of EU law - forfeiture and compensation in the case of long-term illness" continues the series of articles "Casework in labour law" founded by the IAAEU's legal working group. The series of articles published in the Zeitschrift für das juristische Studium is primarily aimed at students with a focus on labour law and supplements the IAAEU's labour law podcast by providing an in-depth examination of the cases discussed there. It is intended to train problem awareness and structural thinking and thus facilitate the application of abstract knowledge to a specific situation. With this approach, the series sees itself as an independent contribution to successful exam preparation in labour law.
