A major success for a former colleague: Dr. Marco Clemens, who served as a research associate at the IAAEU from 2021 to 2025, has been awarded the 2026 Joseph A. Schumpeter Prize for his dissertation, "Essays on Income, Wellbeing, and the Labour Market." With this award, Faculty IV of the University of Trier honours outstanding academic publications and exceptional achievements within the context of a doctoral degree. The prize money is generously funded by a donation from the Deutsche Bundesbank. The award was presented on May 22, 2026, during the faculty’s graduation ceremony. Also in attendance were Martin Condé from the Regional Office of the Deutsche Bundesbank for Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, as well as Prof. Dr. Laszlo Goerke, the chair of the jury responsible for selecting the prize recipient. We extend our warmest congratulations to our former colleague on this distinction.
